Nestled in the suburb of Oran Park; South-West Sydney, Lemon & Zest Bakery is the culmination of a love of sharing beautiful food and a celebration of owner and Pastry Chef Katherine Aragona-Leonello’s Italian heritage.

Specialising in artisan treats including tarts, biscuits and sweets, Katherine is passionate about creating beautiful experiences with her customers through each touchpoint of the Lemon & Zest brand. 

At the forefront of the Lemon & Zest ethos is a focus on community connection, and the importance of celebrating life’s special moments however big or small. Starting from a curated range of artisan tarts, Lemon & Zest have now expanded into an extensive range of sweet treats for you to order, as well as dessert catering, prop hire, gift favours and gelato cart hire. 

 


… with humble beginnings in her Nonna’s kitchens.

Katherine’s love for baking was ignited from a young age after spending time cooking and baking with her Nonna’s on the weekends and in school holidays. 

Drawn to the meditative aspect of using your hands to create something special, combined with the beauty and depth of the Italian culture, Katherine was sold on a career in baking and started as an apprentice pastry chef when she was just 16. 

After over 8 years of experience, working in multiple patisseries and restaurants, the same things still ring true; her love and passion for creating from the heart and sharing it with the world is what inspires her each day. 

With this, Katherine is passionate about making everything from scratch and is meticulously selective with her ingredients, ensuring she only uses the highest quality fresh and local ingredients for her sweet treats.
